 i think people just like music that relates to their life or their way of thinking, so yeah i think it can be a reflection of their maturity in some cases, but it might be even more of a reflection of what mood they're in at the time, like if they want to relax they'll listen to relaxing music, if they want to party they'll listen to more energetic music. so i think its more of a reflection of the persons mood or what relates to them as a person rather than 'maturity'.
