All The Ladies, life as a B Girl in the Hip-hop world.

All The Ladies Say is a film that highlights the lives of six iconic female street dancers from San Jose, Atlanta, Miami and Chicago, who have carved a niche in the physically challenging, male dominated breakdance world. Discussions about motherhood, sexual tension, femininity versus masculinity and the rap industry/mainstream images are a few of the themes explored by the documentarys main characters. International dancers not only make appearances but also add their two cents about life as a B Girl in the Hip-hop world.

Ladies of hip hop festival!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Created 6 years ago, by Michele Byrd McPhee, the Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival is annual tribute to women in hip-hop featuring performances and classes, celebration and conversation. Each year, the community gathers to take classes from world renown dance instructors and check out performances from some of the illest female dance crews.

Celebrating the 5 year anniversary of the event, asked Stacey “Flygirrl” Wilson to join the team and expanded the festival to five nights of dance, live painting, performances, and more...

Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival 2008 featured performances by female artist Bahamdia & Ethel Cee, dance instructors Tweetie and Toshika, flygirl art exhibits and Honeyrockwell & Maori Holmes as panel guest.
This year we will feature women in a four-day festival.

Thuesday night is a live painting & DJ session with Philadelphia DJ’s. Friday night will feature live music, dance performances, vendors & live art. Saturday will feature a panel discussion & brunch then later that night, Tastytreats, Philly’s longest running weekly party. Sunday is dedicated strictly to dance classes. Within the three days, we will feature Philly’s greatest creative women - Dancers, Artists, MC’s, Dj’s, Chefs, Designers, Promoters, Pioneers, Personalities, and everything in between
