Talib Kweli Free Los Angles Show Tonight To Benefit a Local Shelter Tonight, fans in Los Angeles can see a FREE Talib Kweli performance featuring material from his upcoming album, 'Gutter Rainbows,' on-sale January 25th. The show, presented by Myspace Music, will be held at The Roxy on 9009 West Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA. Doors at 9PM. All ages welcome. Free admission only with a canned good or blanket for the needy. The goods will be donated to a local shelter for Thanksgiving. Supporting acts include Onyx, X-Clan, Percee P, Caddy One and buzzing local acts including Overdoz and Rhyme Addicts, among others.
Before the concert to cap the all-day conference, a panel discussion will be held with Chang Weisberg, the founder of Rock the Bells Festival and Guerilla Union; Quincy "QD3” Jones III, music and film producer; Jody Armour, professor of law at the University of Southern California; Jeff Weiss, a music critic for Los Angeles Times and the LA Weekly; Terrace Martin, multi-platinum producer; and James Leach, vice president at SESAC’s L.A. office. Tupac’s mentor and first manager Leila Steinberg will moderate the panel.
