I'll let you know off the bat about some music stores that are a must see when there. You have to check Amoeba and also Fat Beats. If you check Fat Beats on the right day and at the right time you will run into Percee P. That's in the Melrose district. Amoeba is on Sunset Blvd. Amoeba is the largest independent music store in the world. There are Amoebas all over the world but if I'm not mistaken, the one in Hollywood is the biggest. Also, you have to go eat at Brite Spot in Echo Park. I have heard that PB Wolf and Madlib eat there on Sunday mornings. The restaurant is actually open until 4AM on regular business days and that's when they are busiest so if you want to go when it's not packed, avoid eating there that late. My man Mnemonic has the hookup on all the night clubs and such so if you are interested I'll ask him, but I can tell you that you should find out what is going on at the Airliner on the days you are there. Some of the best Los Angeles underground artists get booked there nightly. It's a true underground hip hop joint. Seriously, the whole atmosphere of the venue is just underground as hell. ??? No, there's only 2 of us that are truly active and neither of us is there anymore. There are a few others that either lived there before they joined or live there but aren't that active (LLyRiC, Montana) but there really aren't that many in total if you consider how many members we have and how vast the underground hip hop scene is here. I think we have as many or more members from Romania.

Yeah, KRS-One lives out here now (Reseda from what I hear), The Living Legends are here, Blu is in San Pedro, Pacific Division is in LA, The Pharcyde (the whole crew) went to high school with my man Mnemonic in Pasadena, Flying Lotus, People Under The Stairs, etc. and of course Dre, Snoop, Cube... They are all living in LA currently
