Hey guys, i need to do this project in my class, and i have to interview 20 people. I dont need 20 people to answer, but as much as possible. All you need to do is answer the questions, + your real name, occupation and age. (you can make up a name, but please dont troll shit like bodybuilder or something like that, names like Jimmy, John, Kate, etc etc are acceptable). Here are the questions:

1) Are you or anyone you know a vegetarian?
2) Do you know what term vegetarianism means?
3) Are you aware of different types of vegetarians in regards to type of food they eat?
4) What type of food do vegetarians eat?
5) Are you currently or have you ever in the past eaten a vegetarian diet?
6) If so for how long?
7) Do you see any benefits in the vegetarian diet?
8) Are any vegetarians in your immediate family or among your friends?
9) What are the challenges of being a vegetarian?
10) Do you agree with the saying, "Your are what you eat"? Why yes or why no?

Please dont troll, be as honest as possible and thanks.

Name: Erik Boyd, Occupation: Student/Personal Trainer (you can use either one. if student doesn't work just put personal trainer), Age: 22

1) Are you or anyone you know a vegetarian?

not me, but i know a few vegetarians

2) Do you know what term vegetarianism means?

it means someone who does not eat meat but may eat other animal products such as dairy and other animal milks

3) Are you aware of different types of vegetarians in regards to type of food they eat?

i'm aware of ethical vegetarianism and dietary vegetarianism, but not any specifics on variations between vegetarians by diet.

4) What type of food do vegetarians eat?

some of the same foods any healthy person who has a balanced diet would, only their source of protein is meat substitutes such as soy rather than actual meat.

5) Are you currently or have you ever in the past eaten a vegetarian diet?

no

6) If so for how long?

n/a

7) Do you see any benefits in the vegetarian diet?

i see the benefits, but i have also been warned by professionals of the side effects of a meat-free diet.

8) Are any vegetarians in your immediate family or among your friends?

yes. not immediate family, but friends.

9) What are the challenges of being a vegetarian?

having a restricted diet, gaining weight is difficult (this would apply to an athlete), etc.

10) Do you agree with the saying, "Your are what you eat"? Why yes or why no?

to an extent. it is a simplification of a rather accurate nutritional philosophy. it's hard to explain though and it would take me more than a comment box to discuss diet in accordance to that statement.

also, HipHopHead, if you like i have one of the best nutritionists in the country and he would be willing to answer your questions for free. PM me if you want the number. btw, I_Guy is a vegetarian. i'll PM him and let him know to help you out here.

1) Are you or anyone you know a vegetarian?
Yes, I am a flexible vegetarian, meaning on occasion I will consume sea food (for instance, if stuck in a restaurant situation when vegetarian meals aren't available). A term for this is pescetarian.

2) Do you know what term vegetarianism means?
Yes. A person who rejects meat as a food source.

3) Are you aware of different types of vegetarians in regards to type of food they eat?
Well some are called flexible vegetarians like me, some are vegans, and there probably are more subcategories.

4) What type of food do vegetarians eat?
Fruits, vegetables, nuts, oats/wheat/grains

5) Are you currently or have you ever in the past eaten a vegetarian diet?
Yes.

6) If so for how long?
About 6 months.

7) Do you see any benefits in the vegetarian diet?
Yes. Ethical and dietary.

8) Are any vegetarians in your immediate family or among your friends?
Yes.

9) What are the challenges of being a vegetarian?
Living in a nation where meat is sold on every corner, non-meat foods aren't always available. Vegetables and fruits and other healthy foods can only be obtained from certain sources that are not as widely dispersed or convenient as something like a fast food restaurant. Organics become an issue, prices become an issue on some things (nuts mainly), keeping variety becomes an issue, cooking becomes an issue, keeping a balanced diet is difficult at times, it can be easy to get into junk food for some people.

10) Do you agree with the saying, "Your are what you eat"? Why yes or why no?
It makes sense literally and figuratively.

I don't drink milk. I drink Silk (soy milk) which is a lot more refreshing anyway. But sometimes I do eat cheeses, usually because they are mixed into some foods.
