To whoever asked about waking up paralyzed, yes, I have those sometimes. They are called night terrors.
What happens to me is, I am falling asleep. JUST before I start actually sleeping, something wakes me up like the house creaking or something, and it scares the fuck out of me, thus making me open my eyes really fast. As soon as I open them, everything looks really distorted, and I usually have no idea where I am for about 3 or 4 seconds, and I can't move. Then I realize that it is one of these episodes that I have, and I fall back asleep in a few minutes. Weird.
