Yall believe in them? Have you encountered them? If you don't believe in it are you at least interested in some of the stories people tell/come up with?

I don't necassarily believe in demons, or angels, but I do believe that when a person dies, they may live in some sort of spiritual realm where they can observe life on Earth. Not really OBSERVE it, but feel the vibes from it. If they want, maybe they can vibe in on a specific persons life, or a certain group of people. I think they may be able to channel thoughts through, or emotions. I've read ALOT on Near Death Experiences, and I know for sure that if there is in fact life after death, that the spiritual world is MUCH, MUCH different than Earthly life. Sometimes I think that Earth is a way to wake us up. I don't know. This is the type of shit me and my girl talk about all day. It's just stuff that we can only speculate on. Sadly, sometimes people take it too hard and it causes wars and genocides. No matter who is right and who is wrong, we are all going to the same place: 5 feet under. Whatever comes after that is COMPLETELY beyond our control. So that's why I don't fret about demons/hell.

Quote (ilikebacon3000) 5 feet under come on now dude, you should have listened to enough rap to know its 6 feet deep Quote (ilikebacon3000) BTW good topic abanks. Rep. right on As for me I do believe in spirits, demons, and all that shit. i've had my few unexplained encounters and with the combination of my religion and family stories it has led me to take this stance. I am not afraid of them but do feel there presence. for instance when i was living in my old apartment a few years ago, i remember the lady who lived there before me, this old ass white lady, and i saw her walking the halls a few times, i have a feeling she died in her home. many times i had a very hard time sleeping, i would have that feeling like someone was watching you but ever since i moved i sleep like a fucking baby. shit also happened at my great aunts house, i literally did not sleep because i felt an odd presence in the old room i was staying in. is unexplainable but just knew that there was something or someone else in the room with me

i think you can probably easily correctly predict my stance on this lol. i'll put it this way: i am a monist, most specifically a dual-aspect theorist. look that up if you don't already know what that is and if you read about it well enough you will know exactly what i believe.

Quote (abanks47) i would have that feeling like someone was watching you but ever since i moved i sleep like a fucking baby. Dude no doubt... I swear to god on this one, I swear.... I swear I swear I swear.... I don't know if it was a dream or what, but here is what happened. About a month ago, I was laying in bed trying to sleep after one of those days where everything is fucked. And I was all pissed and shit and I couldn't sleep, and so I put on some Nirvana. I'm not sure if I drifted off and saw this, or if it happened... But I saw Kurt Cobain come from the corner of the room, with the most magnificant light behind him, a light like I have never seen, and he had a cup of coffee in his hand, and we had a conversation about how the deeper you sleep, the better your next day will be, and he said to me "If you just let me go, you will sleep deep tonight" and then he just sorta flew back into the light and then I turned my Ipod off and went to sleep. I probably dozed off... But it all seemed so vivid, and I can still remember it to this day perfectly, that I am convinced it was real. I wasn't even talking. My thoughts were passing into his realm, and vice versa.

Quote (eboyd) i am a monist, most specifically a dual-aspect theorist i know what it means...a gay! jk Dual-aspect theory is sometimes considered a version of property dualism in addressing the mind-body problem. Dual-aspect theory avoids objections that arise from reductionist approaches which either automatically preclude the veracity of one part of a two-part preposition, or descend entirely into logical contradiction related to causality. Physical and mental are in dual-aspect theory different aspects of a single brain process, viewed from different cognitive perspectives and thus causally describable from those perspectives. Each approach is valid for normative use depending upon the level of description at issue. OK so i read that about 3 times and still dont get it. if you want to dumb it down for a brutha feel free. This will be hard to explain. Have any of you guys ever like try to go to sleep after waking up for brief moment. And as soon as you start to close your eyes you feel like your falling in mid air. Its like that constant feel that you get when you hit your sleeping foot all over your body. And you try to wake up but your like paralysed. Anyone ever feel that?
