Paul Henry is a broadcaster in nz, basically known for being a dick at times and trying to be funny as a host on a breakfast show and radio program. anyway he was interviewing our prime minister and made some comments about our governer-general who is a fijian-indian. he asked the prime minister if the governer general is really a new zealander, the prime minister replied 'he is a new zealander', henry replied "can you have a governer general who looks and sounds like a new zealander next time".
anyway the unite union got really pissed about it and started protesting outside the buildings calling him racist for the comments and calling for him to be sacked.
henry made an apology and the governer general said he accepted the apology though he didn't actually hear the apology yet
anyway henry was suspended for two weeks without pay but the unite union are still calling for him to be fired.
