Computer Virus autorun.inf

All day yesterday i was having computer problems n still having them, its in and out of the internet, i thought maybe it was the snow storm or something messing with the internet..anyway my son's computer has a virus we picked up yesterday. autorun.inf which is obviously loading itself with windows. i found the file that is loading up but i am afraid to remove the file from the registry and file search because i dont have xp anymore to reinstall the program.. also found the trojan prun.tmp which the virus scanners have picked up and put in the vault but not deleting it from the pc..and hard to find some of the files that are invisible in the folders.. these critters  ok so my son's computer is attached to a router with my pc. does anyone know if my pc can get this virus through the router?...idk, i think we share the same ip address also or is it a coinsidence that my pc is acting strange? and if anyone knows anything else about this virus/worm file autorun.inf let me know.. thanks and have a great sunday.

just give your PC a system restore erase everything and install the windows again i know its hard but thats life

Quote (Menace) just give your PC a system restore erase everything and install the windows again i know its hard but thats life yea good idea on the system restore but i dont have the xp to install windows again, when i got this pc for my son it didnt come with the cd yea thats life and i know we'll get it fixed, stinks that i'm trying to save so many family pics we got in that pc and family videos and so much music that i'm trying to save because i know it will all be gone. me and my daughter tranferring 1000's of pics into photo bucket for safe keeping. just sucks we will loose everything.. i was trying to delete this virus without having to reinstall anything...:( what i wanted to know// could this be affecting my pc? both pc's are attached by a router..

i know my son's pc has had it but i wonder if its affecting my pc dam two pcs in one shot sucks, not to mention my washer just broke and my son's new psp just fell, screen is cracked, xbox is on the blinkk and my phone line is on and off well when it rains it pours.. i hate when everything breaks down at the same time.. i'm jsut venting to myself..dont mind me. i know others have it worse or have no luxaries at all but its still frustrating. i think my whole house has a virus lol  i hope this virus can't affect the xbox live that is also attached to that same router..

shit i dunno but id get someone in to check it out, its worth getting a 2nd opinion before you loose all that, i dont think you can get a virus through the router but i dont know shit so i really wouldnt trust what i say hope you get it fixed

hope you get it fixed thank you, yea i might have to take it to a repair shop, getting a tech to come to my house is to expensive. those guys kill u for house visits or after i get things tranffered over to my pc and photobucket i might just try to remove this virus myself like i've done in the past and maybe i can find a friend with an xp windows software to reinstall it..i dont even know how much the xp is selling for right now but i know its probably still expensive. well thanks again and have a good sunday.

sometimes people will send you a pm on you tube with some link to some site, but the link will download a virus to your computer.

I just fixed my comp from a trojan & worm the other day its why iv been off for a while.
Was trying to download one night in paris 
and boom everything fuks up, im never going to bother downloading free porn again! That was the 1st and last time for me lol
I looked at the moon so full and so bright
And then at the fireplace with its flickering light
And realised why this world will never be right
