Sleezy.E as an artist was wack his voice was like Michael Jackson but deeper also a hip hop fact!!! sleezy is only a hip hop icon cause he was in NWA and was or is the shortes mc to touch the mic, his rapping was alright in a very small way i dont understand what dre was thinking putting sleezy in NWA he was pretty much just using them for the money ect ect. and his way overrated just cause he died.
oh and Raekwon tryed out to be a boxer but didnt make it he got a broke nose in training
go in Compton and diss eazy and i guarantee you niggas gonna beat yo ass and still i have love for eazy being 100% real and helpin people and eatin at the dinner table whit the prez whit his compton cap on lol and Dre he a scumbag he always been a scumbag his games exploited hip hop
Fact (not sure though): nobody in NWA had a criminal record..
in fact they had eazy-e sold rocks first was NWA whitout eazy he was just the dude who supplied the money for shit then one day dre said to eazy to rap a lil bit just for joke and he rapped and he liked his flow and they made boyz in the hood the song and i respect NWA becuzz they spoke and said it loud
Keith "Cowboy" Wiggins, a rapper with Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five has been credited with the coining of the term hip hop in 1978 while teasing a friend who had just joined the US Army, by scat singing the words "hip/hop/hip/hop" in a way that mimicked the rhythmic cadence of marching soldiers. Cowboy later worked the "hip hop" cadence into a part of his stage performance.
this how i know it and thats how old heads told me too
yes we might never really find out which one it was between lov starsky, cowboy and grandmaster flash or hollywood. they probably all just followed each other but its said that cowoby used it on stage. I remember it was used alot by emcees in block parties that went up to the mic and always threw in hippidyy words like that. i think was even before rappers delight came out with i said a hip a hop. then its said africa bambaataa was the one that used the name that phrase "hip hop" to name the culture.
