the song is not that bad but u have different taste in music, u may not lliike it but many do..not meaning in here lol anyway..but i'll put up one now..u might not be crazy about it, he is a UK emcee so maybe its his accent that makes his flow out of place,,,i like it and so do many others..that track and his album sell well in the UK.

no, i like his flow, delivery, etc. i actually really like UK emcees and other emcees from around the world with accents. now that you mention that i am actually a bit disappointed because i can't hear an accent lol. i just didn't like the melody on that song. what i love about his music is that he basically just has an acoustic guitarist laying some riffs over drums. that is dope as hell to me.

Quote (EmSeeD)
about Reeken while firstly i'm not saying it shouldn't be on the mixtape, most people seem to like the song and i don't mind it. i could go over here why i don't like it but its probably going off topic so theres no point, maybe we could do that in the chatbox but i don't want to fill the thread up with arguing over a track i don't mind being on

lol ok. PM me and we'll talk about it there. i wanna know why lol :D

Quote (EmSeeD)
the flow and lyrics were way better on this song, do we really need to have another Mnemonic song though?

i was thinking we could have Mnemonic's "Ain't Real" instead of "Notice Me" on this one possibly, only because it's unreleased and "Notice Me" is already on "Mnemonic Radio". either that or have "Notice Me" on this and "Ain't Real" on the next one. it's up to you guys.

Quote (EmSeeD)
i like the K-Rino song "Release It" so i vote for that to be the 24th track instead

nah man, i fucking despised the beat. lyrics aren't everything. the dopest lyrics in the world still sound like shit over a terrible beat, especially if the delivery isn't on point (i'm not saying it isn't here). i'll check which one i like and get back to this.

Quote (LadyChinita)
i gave these to trigger also but he chose "lost in transmission" instead of this one..here are some more, these three are not bad, lost in transmission is my fav, then number 2 is bulletproof gandhi, 3 is torn again..see which u guys like better..

i liked the Gandhi one and the Torn Again one a lot! i just hated the melody on Lost in Transmission. seriously, either of those would do. i love this guy's style!

Quote (EmSeeD)
i don't mind if we leave it off coz while i liked the rhymes and flow of that Lost in Transmission track i didn't like the chorus so i don't mind if its left off, i don't think brent will mind, if those guys don't want to help promte the mixtape just because of that who cares, its their problem

nah, don't worry about it. like i said above bro, i think we can have him on here, i just would want another one of his tracks, not that one.

Quote (s0dr2)
no i didnt lol, nvm then

wtf???? so my flow/delivery was better here? in what way was i better???

Quote (s0dr2)
the beat is nice (easy to get stuck in your head) and arunavi sounds like the pharcyde

i agree about the beat but he sounds nothing like Pharcyde lol. Aesop Rock if anything.

Quote (s0dr2)
its alright but the beat's not something id be playing on repeat (especially when im feeling sick :'( )

i feel you on the beat, it's nothing special, especially for an Ayatollah beat, but the lyrics were dope i thought.

OHHHHHHHH! i know what it was! "Opinions" is the only track you've heard from me other than "They Called Him 'Seek'", isn't it? "Opinions" was the very first track i ever recorded. the next was this track i did with Psyntific then i did just some weird halfway spoken word poems/raps, then i started collaborating with a bunch of ppl from a youth center, then i released some of my first side projects when i connected with Unite C and the first track from that was "Addiction" (which, imo, could have been done much better. "Opinions" >>>> "Addiction" because my delivery was horrible) and "They Called Him 'Seek'" was the first track after that and then "Cycle of Life", both of which will be on this mixtape. not only have i improved since then though, but i've also gotten much better quality recordings since then. me and Unite recorded "Wargods" and "Zonin'" after that, then later we did the track "Heartaches & Pain" together and recently we did "Modus Operandi". i am also getting ready to release an album with those 4 tracks, plus 12 other tracks, possibly more (one of which will likely also have a Unite C beat), with other producers such as El Matador, G-Ammo, NtG, Mnemonic, and AyDee (yes, i got a beat from him before he fell off the face of the earth lmao!). on top of that i released some collaborative works as well that shows my more recent style and abilities. check these out:

(^^^ignore the name of that video lol. i have a 12 bar verse after Trigger's first 2 verses)

and here's my MySpace so you can check a few of my other songs:

most of my best stuff hasn't been heard by anyone but me and the people involved in recording it and a few others though.

ok any of those three of brents is fine with me, it add a different touch, if u dont like lost in transmission i'm fine with the ghandi or torn again, that torn was growing on me..its pretty neat so we can go with any of those two for brent (u can download it from right there if u need it....u guys have a great holiday weekend, signing off till sunday or maybe monday.. 1luv

i agree with eboyd. if you dont know what youre getting into, listening to "release it". youll probably skip it. if you dont now k rino then hear that beat start? id probably skip it too. thats why i think we should go with possibly the epitome, duality, flow session number 1, or oblivion scroll. or the sorcerors den lol. if you listen to anyone of those songs. really sit down for 3-5 minutes on any one of those songs. youll be blown away. its like a fact of life.

I honestly dislike emcees like K-rino who just throw out big words through a whole track to try and show that they are smart. Dont hate on me

no i agree with you, but then when he rhymes them "big words" and theyre 3-4 syllable words that no one else has touched upon. its kind of amazing. plus thats a fraction of what kind of rapper he is. you could also say hes a punchline rapper depending on what song i post. this next song im posting is just nothing but punchlines. he uses a lot of punchlines. but hes not a punchline rapper either. and he has other types of songs that just are about knowledge, concept songs, grimey ass songs, etc...

also, how you gonna hate then say dont hate? lol i know its your opinion and all but, cmon son. when you hear a dope rhyme for now on, K's gonna be in the back of your head saying. nope, not dope enough lol im just playin.

K has a lot of different tracks tho. all his songs are not filled with big words or punchlines. he is IMO one of, if not the best storytelling mc. You can check out songs like Who Are You, Amnesia, The Man In The Mask, Remember, When You Hate To Love, Who Killed Realness, Didn't Ask etc etc. Point is, his album usually has only a few "super-lyrical" songs, he isnt all big words and outerspace rhymes

that's the stupidest comment i've read on here since barut said that Nicki Minaj has more potential than Jay-Z (though it is nowhere near that stupid). i'll check that thread in a sec.

btw, it's past 12PM on Dec. 23. does that mean we are set on the release date i scheduled above? no one gave any opinions and the deadline passed. we cool with January 18th and the date by which the project must be solidified being 2 weeks prior to that?
