Beings many debates relating to site changes and site enhancement reach a conclusion, is there any reason to keep the thread? It's not like there is anything to add to a settled debate. For example, when we reach a conclusion on this debate, we should delete it. biggrin cool wink

i'd say the counter argument is that in case someone tries to go against a rule or say we never voted on it, if it still exists, we can always go back to the decision for proof that we ruled on it. maybe we can have an archive for it. i wonder if there is any way to create archives on this site and if not, at least the new site.

Good point. I don't know, is it possible to hide a thread? IDK, never mind, maybe it's not such a good idea. It might just cause more hassle for everyone.

no dont think we can hide a thread but it would be nice, i'll check in the control panel to see if there is an option.. maybe we can have a archives section for older posts, well if it got out of hand that we can't find anything.. these threads are getting so long i can't even find my hip hop videos thread for old school and new music sad i think i'm moving those to music..

what i saw was that we can disable a forum but not a thread, we can also start a forum and make it an archive/read only threads..just a idea for another time.

Make a disabled forum as an archive for that thread and whoever runs that thread can transfer old debates to the archive. It can double as an RHHF Talk archive.

why don't we move the debates about site changes to the OG/Heads section?

Because if we did that, regular members wouldn't have a say on site changes. Remember, the concept is that everyone has a say at all times. We are running this shit different from any other.
