Don't think we already have this one either, it's the only Jay-Z album I actually listen to from time to time.

If you don't already have it you can download it here: (deleted by eboyd)

The production was really fine, I mean really.. It probably carried Jay-Z a bit rather than Jay carrying the production.

It had a guest appearance from Notorious B.I.G on Brooklyn's finest which was one of the best tracks on the album in my opinion though Biggie probably outshined Jigga by a bit.

Flow: 85%, Jay-Z can flow definitely and his rhyme scheme is pretty decent always.
Lyrics: 60% - His rhyme schemes are cool but a lot of it is just jewels, money and all that.. Really played out.
Production: 90% - The Production really made up for the lack of lyrics, well it wasn't bad but it didn't really have any 'Oh-Factor' if you get where I'm going with this, it was all pretty basic. I liked the production though.
X-Factor: 70%

Overall: 76%

Overall I think this album is pretty okay and definitely Jay-Z's best album in my opinion at least. I could listen to it all the way through but mostly because the production was decent.

Overrated.

Whats overrated about it? The lyrics on "Reasonable Doubt" was very introspective.

Definately Jay's best album.

I know it's Jay's best album.

But people think it's this great album, which I think is just good, not great.

But that's just me.

i really don't feel Mafioso rap this album was a Mafioso rap album if i want some mafioso shit i would rather check Only Built 4 Cuban Linx or Doe or Die people act like his rhyme scheme was the first mafioso rhyme scheme not really Kool G Rap and AZ were the first on this tip i mean jay-z only made it more popular

They were way better than 60% BUT theres no use arguing with these people. We know its a classic. So its all good but 90 tp 100%

"Doe or Die"? Yes but "OB4CL" is a tad overrated IMO. Ghostface spit better on that album than Rae did & it was Rae's album.

Even I believe you've said that you liked "Reasonable Doubt". I'm not saying it the GOAT album but that was the best Jay has ever spit IMO. Songs like "Regrets", "Dead Presidents" & "Politics as Usual" had very introspective lyrics.
