Kno is a member of Kentucky-based hip-hop group Cunninlynguists. He's responsible for all the beats and unique style of the group as well.
This year, he finally released his long anticipated solo album. I've listened to it tonight and I got to say it's one of the best albums in 2010.
It's a concept album that reminds "A Piece Of Strange" in many ways. LP touches subjects of undying love, big hopes, difficulties of life, failed plans, betrayal, sense of guilt and, mostly, death herself in a most abstractive and "cunninlynguistic" way you ever heard in your life of a hip-hop listener. Because of what? Because of beats. Kno is back in the house, with the wellness that you propably have remembered from "A Piece Of Strange". Instrumentals are extremely abstract, if you close your eyes and listen you might feel like you were flying between the clouds. Clouds behind the gates of Heaven.
Lyrically, Kno and guests did their job, I don't want to discover too much, so just listen to it by yourself. But let me mention 'Lynguists' previous work, "A Piece Of Strange" once again. If you enjoyed it - you'll appreciate this album.
If you're a true hip-hop fan, you need to cop this. It's even more than just hip-hop, it's a dance of the senses!
Music on this album is trully hypnotizing.*
