Liquid Swords is more mature. I need a more mature album, not a gritty street one. I like Illmatic A LOT more than I used to though. However, it is in NO WAY perfect. Far from it.

So......? LS is, imo, a superior album sonically, lyrically, subject matter wise, etc. The streets aren't the only factor here. There are plenty of sources that say LS is up there with or better than Illmatic even though the consensus says Illmatic is better.

i voted liquid swords, to me its just one of those classics that stays in rotation in my library.. was actually listening to the whole album like 2 days ago. they are both good albums but ls wins for me..
