Quote (EmSeeD) how is the "Curent Age in hip hop" not "New School" because the current age is marked by ridiculously heavy commercialization with subsequent heavy emphasis on underground hip hop while in the time span of 1993/94 - 1997 the art form was still prospering without being completely compromised by commercialism whereas after that period it became completely commercial thanks to Puff Daddy.
