Lord of the Dance '09
Alright yall here's the skinny. We got 3 judges and 1 of them has already registered on the site. All of us will be posting a video on youtube introducing ourselfs and the LotD to you.
Things Required to Compete!!!/Rules:
1)Camera
2)Music
3)Good atitude, no burns involving a vulgar or offensive move (humping, middle finger)
4)Must show respect to the other dancer at the end of the battle (which will be on your last video),
something like a bow would be good.
5)After the battle, try to exchange with your opponent, try to help him improve even if he beat you or you
beat him, and tell him he did a good job and what he did good.
BATTLE CRITERIA (1v1)
1v1 criteria:
3 rounds ea. (a 4rth if there is a tie)
1st 2 rounds no longer then 40 secs, last round can be 2 minutes
Must bow at the end of each round
Video must be current, cannot be from a previous jam
DISQUALIFICATION:
There will be due dates for videos, if you fail to meet this and do not provide a logical reason we will
DQ you instantly. You have 2 days to provide us a reason if you miss it unexpectedly, please tell us before
hand if you are leaving on vacation or something!
If for whatever reason your music is not in sync, you must re-upload it and if you do not after we ask you
multiple times we will DQ you. You can re-upload your videos as many times as you need to. If it does not
work after several uploads, you can replace a video with another new one. You must speak with us before
you do this!!!!
NO UPLOADING VIDEOS FROM PRACTICE OR PREVIOUS JAMS! The video you upload must be for this contest
only. You would not go to BOTY and do the exact same dance you did at IBE, so do not do it here or it is an
instant DQ.
Violating these rules once is a DQ and a warning, twice is a DQ and you cannot participate in the jam for the
next year, 3 times is a life-long ban... do not populate these lists.
Due Date Extensions:
If you require an extension for your video to post it on the due date, please try to notify us BEFORE the video is due.
If a week passes and we hear nothing from you for over a week it is an automatic DQ. Once you have told us how long
you need and the reason, we will decide how much time we can give you. If the required time is not enough, sorry you're
out. This may be a community project but it is still a tournament and will be treated as so. No slacking.

The Lord of the Dance is a competition for Breakdancing held on facebook. Each contestant will submit a video. However it is not open yet we still need judges and banners.
We now have 4 applicants for judging, 3 have sent in info and 2 have confirmed they would like to judge, the rest have yet to send in info or even confirm they are still going to judge. It is too soon to tell when we will start this event, I have asked the owner of hiphopforever.com if we can use a section of the forum to host this event as it will be easier using a forum to browse and judge the videos.
Please invite people, we will continue to extend the event schedualing here just to alert people we are still around but also so it stays open. Please invite anyone who you think might be interested.
Also, the breakers section will be opening within the week. Yup that's right we will be accepting any breakers, poppers, lockers, krump. Each section has a different award for winning, so there will be multiple champions of this event for each dance style, if that style has more then 5 dancers competing.
If the breakers that sign-up reach over 10 we will open an area for crews. Please send an e-mail to fran922003@yahoo.com to tell me that you are signing up and I will talk with Al for when we will need you to send in videos. Thank you![b]

welcome to the site everyone. I am the co-founder of this movement. I've been somewhat inactive for a month or so (and will be for a while longer) because I'm playing division 2 university football atm (got a game this Saturday) but I check back once in a while and I'm glad to see this. I wanted to let you all know, on behalf of myself, the site and the founder (DJ Just One AKA J1fromtheBX), that what you guys are doing is welcome with open arms. We've been trying to put together a hip hop dance tourny for some time and we're just glad we have someone else on board with us. All we ask of you guys is that you do whatever you can to promote. We wish to someday be the leading name in hip hop forums and movements and we cannot do that without your help so please, if you have any connections that could help us expand, please do not hold back. We are only as big as or family allows us to be and you guys are now a part of the family so welcome and please feel free to get acquainted with the site's features.
