Akon makes shitty pop hits but if you listen to the little known tracks on his albums you will notice that he has some old school R&B type tracks as well. he can pull it off imo.

he really started whit that good R&B but he went on that one hit singles and never stopped for example these songs are really good R&B songs

believe me or not Akon's song Mama Africa always makes me shed a tear

this one Akon's Ghetto Arabic Remix is too cool why he stopped making such songs ?
