Today marks the release of Heaven Razah, the long-anticipated sophomore solo album from Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and former Sunz Of Man member Hell Razah, which means fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Initially slated for a spring release, the album was postponed indefinitely when Razah was admitted to the hospital last April with a health emergency. Having since learned how to walk, talk, and eat again, Razah and label Nature Sounds finally feel comfortable releasing the new album, and in a show of solidarity between artist and label, Nature Sounds has announced they will be donating all proceeds from the project to Razah's family as the respected wordsmith continues to recover.
To celebrate the release, Razah is debuting the video for "Kids In The Street," a powerful new single from the record. The clip follows a group of kids - including Hell Razah's own son, cast as the video's lead role - as they walk the washed out streets unsupervised, one of the boys even shown handling drugs as Razah raps "I know shorty you feel alone like MaCaulay Culkin / That you won't make it to see 40 before you see a coffin." It's a sobering affair to say the least, but it's hard to stay upset now that Heaven Razah has dropped and there is new Hell Razah material to be heard.
Hell Razah's long-awaited sophomore LP, Heaven Razah, is out now via Nature Sounds.
