I just learned how to rap through a written rhyme like not long ago.I never really thought of myself as an actual freestyler, so today i actually tried freestyling and I learned it isn't so easy doing it.I kept on trying to freestyle i woudn't get the hang of it, i'l keep trying...But the another reason why i posted this thread because i just now realized freestling isn't so easy and my inspirations like nas, common, eminem, rakim, big l, and many others make freestyling look so fucking easy and some peple in this group make freestyling look easy too, is it experience or something??? idk ,but when i freestyle its like not much pops through my head im just stranded trying to think of something random and think of something that rhymes it's pretty hard.Can someone give me advice? yeah i've found the same thing, i can freestyle in my head, but when it comes to freestyling out loud i usually get stuck, i think that's just coz i lack that confidence to just keep going, like when i do it in my head there's always something. I think what freestylers do is they get in that zone and they see like pictures or see the words or a story or something, i think experience and practice also has a lot to do with it coz i don't really practice it

Some people freestyle with ease and when they write they suck (my cousin for example)
Hes really good at freestyling, but when I tell him to write a song, he cant for shit!
So most of the time its natural
some of the time its practice and getting into that zone..its easier for some then others Im like Muzzy...I can freestyle some mean shit in my head and transfer it to paper..but when I do it out loud it doesnt come out as good...I stutter in person, so sometimes I stumble over words and cant say some things......

its always good to have certain lines that are memorized to fall back on if you come up lost in the middle of a freestyle.. Eminem does that a lot... Another trick is to use another rappers popular verse and replace the words and change it up.. for instance... " industry rule number 4,080... politicians are shady... so people watch your back cuz i think they smoke crack,, look at how they act.." lol
