but seriously, why look to copycats to keep the game alive? that's absurd! Asher Roth is mini-Eminem, Drake is mini-Lil Wayne (but with slightly superior content), and Charles Hamilton is to some extent a mini-Kanye West. all three are fucking weak. weak lyrics. at least they are better than Soulja Boy but that's not saying much. i'd actually much prefer to hear Kid Cudi. he's at least unique. i still am not a huge fan but "Day & Night" was unique and it wasn't crass and you can dance to it. but fuck all that. Blu ftw!!!! biggrin

we're talking "HIPHOP" here.... not rap music......It's up to the older heads to school the youngsters.... if the youngsters stay bitter about the old heads that complain about the state of hiphop they'll reject and frown upon the roots of hiphop....it's already begining to happen... but when all this gay shit they're into these days gets played out, then the roots will come full circle and be cool again....unfortunately it will only be a fad and not a lifestyle. sad

word !!!! even younger real hip hop heads seem to be like that and it's not good and i always said that as a culture hip hop is dead and even real hip hop heads don't give a shit they just want the music they don't want the whole cultural package

wow never thought about that before, good point and thats how children and younger generations are, the more u say no, the more they want to do it, even out of spite.. its like the way i handled some things with my children. when my daughter was 16 she introduced me to a guy that she called her boyfriend, i didn't like that kid for many reasons but i knew if i said no, u can't see that guy that she would instead want him more, so i played it cool and eventually she realized he was a looser.

I never thought of Charles Hamilton as a lil Kanye
But lets be sensible
Nas was once seen as a Lil Rakim
Jay-Z was once seen as a Lil Biggie
Canibus was once seen as Lil Rakim as well
Eminem was once seen as Vanilla Ice mixed with Big Daddy Kane and Rakim

all the legends go thru these comparison stages until they finally get their own identity
