they are not singers to put so much accent on flow they are MC's they must have a likable voice yes but too much attention of flow is weak only singers put so much emphasis on their voice MC's don't sing to put so much emphasis on flow they rap the art of rhyming doesn't require a great voice rapping is urban poetry voice is not a essential thing

So If Black Thought had the most annoying high pitched voice he would still be considered one of the greatest MCs?

But your saying voice isnt an essential thing which isnt clearly true cuz Snoop Dogg..THE REASON HE GOT FAMOUS was because of his laid back voice and flow so wtf?!?!
Cube got noticed because how angry he sounded
NWA in genreal did
If all the rappers in the world had the same voice tone, there wouldnt be anything unique about them

WRONG !! you lack hip hop history my friend NWA got noticed because they were the first MC's that rapped about "gangsta" themes we can find their words in popular culture too their themes made them not their voice for Ice Cube the same his themes were very black power and had shock value for Snoop Dogg well he glorified G-Funk the dude built his career on smooth voice hip hop was built on shock value don't forget that on crazy lyrics

Okay maybe Im not making my point clear enough.......Your just looking at the lyrics and wat they are saying
Im trying to say the words they say and HOW they say it
U cant rap gangsta and sound like a white boy cuz u get called a WIGGER...duh u feel me now?
I cant be going all lyrical and scientific, speaking all sorts of mayhem but sound like Im happy I found a 5 dollar bill on the ground
Your voice tone has to match your lyrics

flow really is important meth is right, it really does make a lot of difference and matters to a lot of people, it takes a while to get into deep lyrics but if the flow is dope it makes it easier to get into

and then some artist just have distinguished voices that make them clear from the rest of the bunch
I hear songs of artist I dont kno wat their names are but their voices stick out and when I hear that artist again I recognize him by his voice

i learned in art school that what you says is called musical emotions like when you rap about something your voice pattern forms after the subject you rapping about that's how i learned it it's an actual difference between the actual Voice and the musical emotions that forms the voice and some people like Vinnie Paz rely on only hardcore hip hop and their flow stays hardcore Sticky Fingaz is another example too when you rely on only one emotion you don't need to change your vocals they use that single emotion that angry emotion that is in hardcore hip hop so they voice pattern stays the same
