Switching the Flow: MCs Who Seem to Forget...

The flow is a MAJOR part of being an MC right? If u have a goo flow its best u have lyrics to accompany it. If u have the lyrics and the flow on point u have a deadly combination!!
But there is a MAJOR flaw to this. If u keep using the same flow and delivery for a while it gets boring, ur words even become predictable after a while
Only a few MCs only realize how important it is to switch up the flow after a while
Rakim
Eminem
Surprisingly Lil Wayne does this (regardless if its dumb or good)
Just to name a few
There are MCs who keep the same monotone flow their WHOLE career
Vinnie Paz (Hasnt changed his flow ONE FUCKING BIT)
Percee P (tho it is original its the same every song)
Canibus
Guru

Regradless if there flow is dope or not, at least change it up every now and then so it wont seem as tho were listening to the same song over and over again

Anyone agree wth me?

because if a rapper can use different topics it shouldn't really matter what his flow is, only if he talks and rhymes the same things in every song

Okay so say if I rapped like I was a nursery rhyme
Humptiy dumpty for example, u know the melody right?
Say if I used that rhythm as my flow and I rapped like that on every song, but I was speaking politcs and world issues
It wouldnt matter?

as long as it's distinct sometimes when a big group song comes on i can't wait to hear a specific flow but what if he changed his flow for everysong? then i wouldn't have that same feeling .

I dont mean EVERY song I mean like every once in a while or every album do something new but still reflects your past self
Rakim does it easily
From Paid in Full to Follow the Leader to Let the Rhymth Hit em to Dont Sweat the Technique
He had the same Rakim sound but his flow upgraded with each release whether it was faster or slow, more calm or more agressive, he managed to change it
Eminem does the same thing
Alot of Underground rappers happen to fall victim to the monotone flow

b/c its good to be different and creative with your music, i also get tired of hearing the same voices from artist i like (vinnie paz of course). But it matters if how it sounds. You might like eminem's new accent, i cant stand it.People should really think about what flow they pick. If its something everybody else is dong in the mainsteam, nothing will be creative about. I also think the person's flow should match thier lyrics so it complete the song and artist. If your flow is fucking dance singy song but talking hardcore/horrcore shit.It will sound hilarious but terrible.

Thats why I like Eminem's new flow in the first place LMAO
The accent complements his lyrics
On SSLP and MMLP EMinem was like more horrocore that leaned towards hardcore/lyricism mixture
With Relapse he is still horrocore, but with a madman twist to it like an evil genius sort of way
Im pretty familiar with horrorcore and I can tell there is a clear difference with Relape's style than SSLP
BUT anyway.........
Check out Stay Wide Awake and see if that song couldve been done with his old MMLP/SSLP flow
or 3am
His accent matches the new lyrical theme and thats why i think its good
