Quote (8Diagrams) Ok, maybe not as shitty as I said but it wasn't anywhere NEAR as good as an album like ATLiens. hmm, i guess thats an opinion. But to me the two can't even be compared with. The Love Below isn't even a hip hop album, it's just an album that gives u a glimpse of what goes on in Andre 3000's mind.

He should've taken his own advice instead of making songs that are watered down. You can't make that type of music then turn around and say "Wait, I want the hardcore stuff back" ... No one is gonna listen to him when he has a track record of making sure he appeals to the mainstream first. He's got money now so I understand his reasoning, but still.

Quote (sodr2) ATLiens sucks You don't honestly believe that, do you? I mean, it's no "Doggystyle", but it's a solid album. I'd even go as far as to say it has earned classic status.

Quote (sodr2) DOGGYSTYLE ISN'T THAT GREAT Well, that's your opinion. Whether I agree or not isn't important. But I am curious, since you aren't too fond of Doggystyle, what are some albums you would recommend to people asking for "the classics"?

Paid in Full , It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back , Criminal Minded , 3 Feet High and Rising , The Low End Theory , Long Live the Kane , Wanted: Dead or Alive . There are many that are way more classic then Doggystyle .

There are many that are way more classic then Doggystyle . The fact that Doggystyle was marketed so much kind of makes it lose cool points. However the album is really well done and I still rock it to this day. I wish the west coast gfunk scene today came out with music at the same quality of Doggy Style.

Quote (Menace) There are many that are way more classic then Doggystyle I know that. But out of the albums that were released around the time of 'Doggystyle', there weren't many that topped it. The majority of the albums you just listed came out before Doggystyle, with Tribe being the exception (was released in 1991) ...

If there's one more post made about Obama I'm splitting the thread. So does anyone think that 50 cent is bringing hardcore hip hop back at all?
