well dam i'm a true head, dedicated to the culture but i'm not making it my religion lol dam hip hop has enough negativity and now this...thats going a bit to far to make a religion.. %) i guess this will be good for children and those that have no dirrection in life at all and need or looking for something like this, maybe theyll get into the hip hop religion if nothing else, i guess thats better than the way their life might be going now..

i get what he's trying to do in a way but i just think he's going about it the wrong way trying to unite with bring even the word religion into it. he should have stuck to culture and left the word out..

lmao, look up Jim Jones on wikipedia, he started a cult in the 70's, tried to make his own utopia but was forcing the people to stay there, it all went wrong coz really he was just a controlling greedy dude who wanted to have his own town where he ran everything. wanted to be looked at as some special apostle. of course it always seems like they have good intentions but they don't.

I don't like what he's doing... In fact, I'm not a big fan of him btw... U can think I'm crazy because of that.
I know he says alot of good things about Hip-Hop and that the music should be how it used to be!

But what he is doing now is not good for Hip-Hop in the future...

There's enough war with religions all over the world... People who are Hip-Hop will be seen as some kind of followers of Jezus (in this case: KRS).

I think he wants too much attention...

Peace out <_<

What he says doesn't have anything to do with his music.

yes it does, he tries to involve all this crap into his songs, in the song Classic he claims hip hop is a nation, bullcrap that's just part of his trying to turn hip hop into a religion. he also gave the impression that he was saying emcee's are only allowed to rap about things that are meant to uplift people and not about anything else. he's also said shit about hip hop needing to be edutainment, but i don't agree with that, hip hop can just be about fun or story telling etc too, you don't have to make some after school special education rap in every song.

"I don't think we necessarily need to be a nation. A nation is bigger than a genre of music or a lifestyle. A nation requires nation-building. It requires real structure. That's not what Hip Hop is about. Hip Hop is about rebelling and being free - not that a nation isn't about being free, but nation-building needs leaders and I'm not sure that Hip Hop needs leaders." - Talib Kweli
