I really liked this comment that was made by miahSF regarding this article: "after reading this article & the comments that followed, all i wanna say is recognize & respect talent before image. i mean cmon did sports fans hate on Bo Jackson when he went from baseball to football? or vice versa. being that i have been listening to drake since about 2007, i think its unfair to base his position in this game on one song. anyone that can jump from one talent to the next & become even greater outside of his/her comfort zone deserves an applause. everybody has a story to tell & if this author payed attention to the true meaning of the "so far gone" mixtape, he would understand that it has been a journey. & he has so much more on his agenda than fame fortune. i guess you never get a chance to celebrate success. & not only is he being supported, but he's supporting as well. he's carrying his own record label, put various ppl on his tracks that arent regular names, just blatantly puttin people on. i dont wanna really wanna get into how people percieve him as marketable 7 about his female fanbase but i think its a patriarchal society when we as a collective decide that having a huge female fanbase is wrong. but to say the least, im just sick of how talent is measured by image & reputation rather than skill this day & age. just embrace good music. have a nice day." " So go make R&B. By dominating the outlets traditionally reserved for Hip Hop audiences, you’re now decreasing the number of opportunities available for other Hip Hop artists to be heard and you’re proliferating R&B outside its lane. " Since when is music suppose to be one dimensional? So when u make hip hop it's suppose to strictly be made for just men? and r&b is suppose to be made for just women? I'll admit, I like a few songs by Drake and I also recognize that there's a lot better artists out there. This article really just seems to be attacking his image rather than his music.

Ok, but the thing is how am I suppose to take an editor seriously when he's making ignorant comments like "If your goin to make songs for women, stick to R&B". This article brings up some good points but it also becomes very arrogant at times. The man focuses more on Drake's image than his music.

Well thats an opinion, I have no problem wit listenin to some of Drakes songs like "The Winner" or if im with a girl: "Best I ever had" tho it is overplayed now. I haven't heard too much of Drakes songs other than his most popular ones but i dont think he's ever tried to make himself look like a thug. I got a car recently and the cd player doesn't work so Im forced to listen to the radio when Im driving. Let me tell you, it's refreshing to hear Drake on the radio when im used to hear shit like Plies and all them. He's definately not a great rapper but he's decent.

It gives a lot of hope to ppl like me lol Even tho im sure it also had to do with him already bein in the entertainment business..

I agree alot of J Breaks, he's not great but hes good BUT than again I agree with Menace that he switches from singing to rapping too much, kinda pisses me off personally too, but I dont complain if the chicks is digging it tho lol the only songs of his I really been "somewhat mind-blown" by are Ransom and his verse on Forever but other than that hes just average both with the singing and rapping, thats just my opinion tho

he can't suck at both tits forever if you look at it musically and artistically in fact this 2 way of his does harm to his overall career because he has no base to his career any artist must have a strong base where he begins this dude is just all over and that's what in my opinion holds him from having a professional career

Yeah.... I can't get past the fact he was on Degrassi. This ruins any chance of him ever being in a freestyle battle without getting bashed for that, and ruins any chance of a good beef with any other rapper, and on top of that, he got shot on Degrassi! Loserrr! I used to watch that shit in 7th grade all the time. Then I realized how just..... Gay it was after about 2 months and just said "Fuck this gay shit" and quit watching it right then and there.
Life's a bitch and I'm just along for the ride.
