Have you ever listened to a few lines in a song and wondered if the line had originally said something else with a different word? Here's a couple examples:

"they want me to say, fuck who in the game
if you're the best rapper alive, then Reks insane" - Reks, Say Goodnight

i'm pretty sure this line originally went

"they want me to say, fuck you Lil Wayne,
if you're the best rapper alive then Reks insane"

everyone know's Wayne claimed to be the best rapper alive and Wayne rhymes with insane, also it fit right in context with everything else he said.

"now a queen is a queen and a stunt is a stunt" - Jeru The Damaja, Da Bitchez.

i've wondered if the line originally went "now a queen is a queen and a cunt is a cunt, not too sure though lol.

there are a whole bunch of songs in hip hop that had the lyrics changed, either to not cause a big beef or it was too controversial. i used to know a bunch but i can't remember right now. what are some others you wondered if they changed the lyrics?

Lol!

Well, of course there are lines that actually got censored after the fact as well. 2pac and Eminem have had a few of these. Here are two of 2pac's. Unfortunately I don't remember one of the tracks though:

As heard on the track:

"(Long silence)... -same way they fucked us"

Original line:

"Fuck the police and all the courts, same way they fucked us"

"How Do You Want It" (feat K-Ci & Jo Jo):

As heard on track:

"....you's a motherfuck/
Instead of trying to help a nigga you destroy a brother"

Original line:

"Dolores Tucker you's a motherfucker/
Instead of trying to help a nigga you destroy a brother"

C. Dolores Tucker (deceased) was a black activist who promoted black people fixing their own problems. She had sharp criticisms for 2pac in the mid nineties and this was his response, but representatives for 2pac advised him this would not be a good idea so they censored that part of the line.

"Then I got these fake-ass niggaz I first drew with
Claimin that they non-violent, talkin like they *voice sample "Used To Be"*
Spit venom in interviews, speakin on reunions
Move units, then talk shit and we can do this
Until then - I ain't even speakin your name
Just keep my name outta yo' mouth and we can keep it the same
Nigga, it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors
It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em
That's the difference" - Dr. Dre

Original Lyrics:

"Then i got this fake ass Crew i first Blew with
claiming they're non-violent talking like they're ruthless

^^ pretty sure he's talking about N.W.A, if not then some other crew that was involved with N.W.A Above The Law?

"And I ain't into playing games
Plus I already hate them fake ballers that be always dropping names
And yeah I'm in the game but......" - Blu

i wonder if the "dropping names" was a reference to The Game

listening to the song "One Day" i wonder if that track was actually a lot longer, just when he goes from Puffy to Suge the song suddenly cuts off and says "we got hip hop that night and everything was aight". a bit weird how he went from "suge said he'd give him up if a real nigga came to retrieve him to that.

wait, you hate on Typical Cats because you THINK they say "fuck Jews" in one of their songs, yet your favorite album is "Violent By Design" and Vinnie Paz has at least one line in every song talking about committing violent acts against Christians, Pagans, and JEWS???? huh

"fuck the pagans we mock them/
And take turns to burn religious doctrines"

-from the song "Death March"

yeah its a contradictory but when i listened to JMT i was prepaired for it. my homies let me know the deal and they dont seem the type to just flat out hate on a christian (EX. if i met them and told them my beliefs they wouldnt spit on me), but with typical cats that was literally the first set of words i heard in the first song from dudes ever and i got the impression that they were hatin on jews. i was thinking damn what the fuck album did i just get. and forgot about it. would remember the beat and try again and hear the same shit but finally looked at the comments on YT and someone cleared it up for me.

oh ok. then why wouldn't you just assume (or try to find out) if they were also like JMT?

didnt care enough to do so at first. i could never believe what i was hearing that someone would straight up say fuck jews like that so i searched the comments of what people thought and others thought the same shit. a lot of people were hating on them for thinking the same shit.
