I'm a huge fan of just beats but find it hard to find good beat makers who specialize in instrumental albums that are good. Anyone got any recommendations? Those I'm keen on follows: Blue Sky Black Death DJ Shadow Bonobo DJ Krush Nujabes Nomak Pete Rock RJD2 Floyd the Locsmif Metaform There are a few more, just cant really think of them all, but if there are any recommendations please hook them up.

Add Prefuse 73 to that list. Also Dabrye, Q-Bert (and the Invisibl Skratch Piklz), and Clutchy Hopkins/Misled Children (I know them personally through Mnemonic. Misled Children meet Odean Pope is a hip hop/jazz crossbreed and a masterpiece!). Also, Cut Chemist deserves a mention. Btw, Abanks, big ups on mentioning Metaform. I've been meaning to pick up "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants" for a while.

yeah prefuse is coo. for the longest time i thought it was a UK/Euro group, turns out its just one guy and i think hes from DC or something. although i do like his music something that kinda bugs me is that he will sometimes buy beats off of people and just alter them. I'm sure he does it in a way to make it his own but still seems kinda i dunno corny or something. Also listen to Kno's Excrementals and Stoupes Instrumental mixtapes. Cop 'em if yall havent already and thanks for the suggestions keep em coming if yall got them.Added (31/Dec/09, 2:11 Am) --------------------------------------------- also while exploring pandora.com found a few more cats: Roots of Orchis (more rock but some jazz hip hop-esque influence) Air (dont know what the fuck these people are but one song was a hip hop track) DJ Logic Highend Egadz DJ Mark Farina And forgot my boy MIDImarc
