Haha thats cool, my best friends brother is a rapper, mostly underground, he is a member with House Of Repz :P. I told my friend about hooking me up with him about concerts and shit, and his brother knows a lot of people, Punchline N Wordsworth (Wordworths is one of my favorite rappers) and a couple of more

Nah, I'm playin. It's cool to hear that you were actually talkin to people I have only seen on the internet and tv. Quote (eboyd) hey didn't have to get paid to do it either. they just decided to come and hang out. i admire that. they put themselves out there as regular dudes. i can't say the same for a lot of artists, even, sadly, some of the other people i listen to. and mind you, we aren't talking about an infamous underground group here. we're talking about one of the highest selling hip hop acts of all time.
While it is admirable, I've always kinda thought that artists should try to hold some sort of mystique. Idk, that's just me though.

Nah man, I disagree. That's pompous imo. Perpetuating an elite image of yourself just makes you seem like you think you're better than everyone else. I really don't respect artists who do that and when I find that an artist I like does that I tend to lose respect for them tbh.

How does DOOM do that??!?! DOOM chills with fans all the time. The difference is that he pretends he's not MF DOOM when he's chilling with his fans lol!  that dude literally goes out and sells hims music without his mask on and pretends that he's selling music by "his friend MF DOOM". It's quite ridiculous in the most hilarious way, but he doesn't try to build an elite character. He just builds this villain persona with other things he does, ie lip synching at shows (which, admittedly, is fucked up and makes me lose respect for him).
