http://www.rapbasement.com/jay-z....up.html Jay-Z recently talked to MTV about the follow up to his still-selling "Blueprint 3" album, explaining why a release date for the new project is the last thing he is worried about right now. According to the Roc Nation leader, he is currently still working on putting the project together. "I don't know," Jay-Z answered when asked about a possible release date for the new album. "I didn't really start yet. I got a couple of scraps and I got a couple of ideas. I didn't really go into the studio yet. I've been toying with ideas and direction and things like that. I got one crazy record. To be honest with you, it's crazy. I got one and we'll build from there. Whether it comes out this year or next year, it depends on the music and how it's coming out. I don't really have any dates."
Life's a bitch and I'm just along for the ride.

On top of that, I know you guys are all about underground shit or whatever, but I genuinely enjoyed some of his stuff from Blueprint 3. Ya'll just act like that anything with any commercial status is bad unless it has a political message. It's sorta like how scene kids are conforming to an idea of not conforming. I hate to disrespect but seriously, ya'll need to chill the fuck out. I understand fighting against guys like Wayne, or Soulja Boy, because that is over-commercialized bullshit. But not every single artist in the mainstream is bad, and not every single underground artist is good. Lol it's always "Fuck -------" with you guys... So damn pessimistic about the world of music. Chilllll the fuckkkkk out people. Damn. Jay Z did what he had to do to get his money. I respect that.

Its just that he's a waste of talent, dude could make a dope ass album if he wanted to. He's just mostly about the money and has similar traits of these other corporate executives brainwashing my peers. so thats why theres times i lift a middle finger and rebel up to jayz

Because if you look at the freestyles he did with Big L in 1995, basically anything he did around the mid-1990's, I would think it's alot better than anything off of The black album, or any of the Blueprints.

Chilllll the fuckkkkk out people. Damn. Jay Z did what he had to do to get his money. I respect that. I'm not all about "underground shit", in fact my favorite emcee of all time is Tupac. He may not be played as much on the radio now as back then (at least not where I live) but Pac was far from being underground. I listen to everything from Tupac & Biggie to Wu-Tang to Jeru to Rakim, Kool G Rap, some BDK, De La Soul, Eminem, Nas, Big Pun, Redman and a bunch of others. I don't really fuck with Eminem's new stuff though and I personally think it's garbage to the point where I don't even download his shit, and that's bad. I don't really care whether you gain some commercial success or not as long as you don't make some garbage in the process and that's exactly what Jay-Z has done. Back in the days Jay-Z was pretty ill, freestyling and on records, even when he had the whole Fu Snicken thing going on he was still pretty tight but nowadays Jay-Z is garbage. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Jay-Z and I personally own Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint but to me Reasonable Doubt is the only album he has ever released that I could listen to all the way through. He'd drop some dope tracks on almost everyone of his albums but the vast majority of the tracks were some watered down bullshit which makes me think that if he really made an effort to create a dope album he could do it, so why doesn't he? He's just after the money and tries to appeal to 13 year old females (and you, bacon, clearly) by putting a bunch of popular female RnB singers on his tracks. On his latest album I did like one track though which was called Empire State of Mind I think but that was mainly the production, lyrically that track was only average. I still think that if Jay-Z pulled it together and made another Hip Hop album he could make some dope tracks but until he says he's going to change his style back I'm not even going to download his stuff. Jay-Z is a lot more bearable than either Drake or Lil Wayne though but I'm not checking for none of them. Commercial success is irrelevant, if you make dope music I'll listen to it, if Lil Wayne stopped sounding like a drooling 13 year old crackhead on record and actually wrote some dope lyrics, improved his flow and got nice production I would listen to his shit but I don't think that's likely to happen.
