Definately The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP are essential to ANY Hip Hop collection. Eminem easily left his mark in Hip Hop with those 2 albums alone. Some may even argue Infinite or The Eminem Show but his first 2 mainstream releases are classics.
Whether u like Jay-Z or not, u gotta have Reasonable Doubt AND The Blueprint. Easily two classic albums.
Black Star's debut album is also essential. Mos Def and Talib Kweli ripped this album
Of course Wu-Tang - 36 Chambers, Nas - Illmatic, Biggie - Ready to Die, and 2 Pac - Me Against the World
But I say he most underrated classic album every hip hop fan need is Death Is Certain - Royce da 5'9"

You must. Very underrated. July 6 provided Royce with dope beats that he ripped. Its one of my favorites of all-time

yo violent by design is as if the universe found another universe, they both mated, and there offspring was that album. that album would destroy countries. it ends wars. it takes 1000s prisoner and promises to release them, only to brutally annihilate them once it realizes that there demands will not be met. its simply one of the best.

I didnt really feel that albu. Kool G Rap had a bad ear for the beats in 95 lol

The Chronic and 2001 are also must have. Some of the best beats in Hip Hop History are on those albums
