i can't agree there. i think Nas is definitely a superior emcee to 2pac. i just don't think either one of them lives up to their hype.

I consider both of them to be dope. Tupac recorded 100s of tracks though so of course you're not going to like all of them but he had a lot of incredible ones which is why I give him a lot of credit. I wouldn't say that "Me Against the World is the greatest album of all time" or "nobody can touch Tupac" or anything like that. There's a lot of emcees that are superior to him lyrically (including Nas), but in terms of subject matter I do consider him the G.O.A.T along with his delivery. If you listen to him live, doing anything from Dear Mama to Out On Bail it's always passionate as can be and you can tell that he really means whatever it is he says. He has a lot of subpar tracks but Keep Ya Head Up, Changes, Dear Mama, Brenda's Got a Baby, Thugs Mansion, Old School, Ghetto Gospel, Life Goes on and A LOT of other tracks I consider to be untouchable.

As far as I'm concerned, if you take all of Tupac's greatest tracks and put them on one album that album would be one of the greatest or well, the greatest album of all time, but that's just my opinion (and I know a lot of people would agree).

The only Nas albums I really like are Illmatic, It Was Written and Stillmatic. Illmatic was dope all the way through (except for maybe one track) and It Was Written had the Message, I Gave You Power, Take it in Blood, Live Nigga Rap & If I Ruled the World. I haven't really listened to It Was Written for awhile though but if I remember correctly the rest was just average. I AM had a few dope tracks, I don't have a single track I like from Nastradamus, God's Son had a couple of dope tracks and well, I didn't get into Nas again until he released Stillmatic and haven't really thought an album of his to be dope since. If he took the dope tracks from I Am, God's Son, Street's Disciple and Stillmatic (and threw out the few fillers) and put them into an album like with the Tupac album I think that would be a guaranteed classic but with these albums and a bunch of fillers on most of them they're only average.

I forgot about that one, it wasn't enough for me to cop the album though.. but yeah I'm a huge DJ Premier fan.

At one point I felt Nas was the G.O.A.T and then I heard other cats and branched out and now my GOAT is between Big L and Rakim. Nas is very poetic. But Nas doesn't know what style he wants. He went from cool cat, to mafiaso, to a faggot, hard gangster, to political savage man. Now will I say he has sucked in the process of doing that. No because he has made some dope music and has stayed relevant. But he doesn't know who the hell he is. His flow is good as long as its the same beat. Lyrically he is dope as fuck. But w/o Gay-Z and Cockafella Rec. Nas would have died.

Em beats Nas because his wordplay, flow, delivery/energy, punchlines and just overall lyricism is better. If I compared Infinite to Illmatic Nas albums wins barely. It Was Written to SSLP goes to SSLP. MMLP vs I Am MMLP. Nastradamus vs Eminem Show= Eminem Show. Encore vs Streets Disciple= SD. Hip-Hop Iz Dead vs Relapse= Relapse. Honestly Relapse wordplay and lyrics were enough to bring me over the voice. EM has less albums but if the count goes his albums overall have been better than Nas. Nas inspired Em ok. But on a black magazine. Where majority of blacks read. Em beat Nas in their best rapper alive article. Guess a lot of "wiggers" decided 2 tune in. Em to me is better than Nas. But I love both and their both in my top 5.
