that track wasnt bad, even though i dislike most of the stuff premo puts out right now

the thing i dont like is how people talk about hip hop in their raps...eg "i do it for hip hop" "hip hop is dead" etc

i mean, back then they didnt even acknowledge the state of hip hop, they just talked about anything but it....like their talent, dissin ppl, stories, etc........now thats hip hop, not a self-conscious hip hop

Idk. Btw, I just realize that I disagree with part of sodr's comment:

Quote (sodr2)
back then they didnt even acknowledge the state of hip hop, they just talked about anything but it

Umm... What about...

-Dead Prez - "Hip Hop"
-Das Efx - "Real Hip Hop"
-Gang Starr - "Mass Appeal"
-Gang Starr - "You Know My Steez"
-Common - "I Used To Love H.E.R."
Etc.

And what is crazy is all those are some of the most well known tracks in hip hop history. Every last one.
