Some questions on atmosphere

A lot of the caucasian race listens to these guys and have given atmosphere the genre "emo rap". Which I guess would be kind of confusing if you don't know what emo is. But uhh yeah what do you think of atmosphere. Are they like a bit depressed, or are they overrated by the white crowd like immortal technique is... I don't mean to regard white people as his up most listeners, but I mean thats the impression I get. I also got that with mf doom, idk I just think atmosphere is considered a more alternative group.

Holy Sh!T! SLUGs the sh!t!! Atmosphere is my fav. group of all times, alot of Hip Hop heads dont like Slugs songs since they deal alot with Women Problems, Alcohol/Drugs Addictions, Self Loathing ETC. But I personally find his music very relevant to my life and can relate to all he's saying in his records. Atmosphere IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. Some like the group, some dont. Added (04/Sep/10, 1:00 Am)

Oh yeah I forgot to answer the question  Well all my friends who i've shown Atmosphere say that it's emo rap. I don't like the label "emo rap" but it does fit in with a lot of Slug's lyrics, they're very emotional Added (04/Sep/10, 1:05 Am)

yeah I don't like him lol. thanks for helpin out bape. although his debut isn't bad at all so I am going to buy Lucy Ford, but thats it.
