I would contest that everyone on this site has at least heard of Big Pun. He's in most people on this site's top ten or 25 so it is hard to call someone like that underrated. That would be like calling Nas, Rakim or the Wu Tang Clan underrated. Pun is easily the best latin emcee to ever touch a mic.

i think Pun is one of the best period, but its a shame he died after one album. he'd own anyone on a track.

what about Kanye West as a rapper among hip hop heads? if he writes his own rhymes he's not that bad with rapping.

No one really cared about him, and he actually was real good
