man, i'm shocked! these guys are seriously talented! wtf happened man?! all male members of the group are skilled b-boys, Will.I.Am is a great producer and emcee, and unlike most major groups, they aren't afraid to spit off-the-top freestyles live on the spot, which is extremely rare. check this:

yeah i remember when they used to be good, their songs Weekend and Request Line were two of my favourite songs back in 2000/2001, then fergie joined, they became successful and just turned more and more pop, i couldn't believe it when i heard that time of my life song at first i thought it must have been some stupid remix or just some song they did on a mixtape to fuck around here's two of B.E.P's songs before Fergie they were good in that freestyle video, but you'll notice they still aren't the most lyrical in these songs but these songs are still good. you might remember these 1999-2000 was also when b-boying had just started to become popular again, i remember all the kids at my school were breakdancing, esp when Bombfunk MC's song Freestyler came out, so hence the break dancing B.E.P were doing in that Request Line song, break dancing just happened to be popular at that time. then the next year it just died out again

Yes, they were actually pretty dope. "Bridging The Gap" is fucking great. They let money change them.

Quote (EmSeeD) yeah i remember when they used to be good, their songs Weekend and Request Line were two of my favourite songs back in 2000/2001 those were also like the most commercial tracks on the album too lol. Quote (EmSeeD) OH SHIT i remember watching this when it was on TV, i remember the video coz it was funny but i didn't even know this was Black Eyed Peas, its produced by DJ Premier too i was about to post that haha! Quote (EmSeeD) damn check out the album Bridging the Gap too, they should have just changed their name when Fergie joined coz they're not even the same group anymore the album before Bridging The Gap, which is called Behind The Front, was arguably even better too. and of course the A.T.B.A.N. Klann shit that Adam posted is dope as fuck and has a Pharcyde feel to it. anyways, check this track from their first album. i am currently addicted to it lol:
