Fox is trying to make such a big deal out of this. One of my extra credit questions on my global affairs test this week was "There was contraversy at a White House poetry reading due to Obama inviting this rapper who is criticized for glorifying cop killers" I guessed Ice T (Cop Killa). If my teacher hadn't thrown in the cop killer part i probably would have got it right cuz he doesnt glorify cop killing, he thinks Mumia and that other person were innocent. Anyways, yeah fox is making way too big of a deal out of this. They don't seem to understand that he isn't in support of killing police, rather he is in support of fair trials.

in the lobby of the place I work (Taco Mayo) we have 2 TV's and they are constantly set to FOX... shit sucks. But yeah this shit is just ridiculous.. since common is a rapper, he is automatically a cop hating, white person hating, athiest, satanist, gay people loving, gangbanging, out of line murderer.

Only more reason to be mad. I'm not mad though really, but this certainly isn't funny. It's a general belief that hip hop is about killing cops, and I think it's great that the presidency sees through this. I think it's god damned stupid that people would call Common a supporter of killing cops, because he supports people like Assata Shakur. I hate Fox, always have. Added (15/May/11, 3:27 Am)

Eazy-E was invited to the white house in the 90's by Bush Sr. Back then nobody made a big whop about it, because it was Bush Sr. This is just double standard, Eazy-E can be described as they now days describe Common, but hey its the right wing in the US.

Really? Eazy E in the white house? The difference is that Obama is black, and he's not suppose to act black since he's president, he's suppose to act white, so people can see how black people can be good too, and by having black musicians at the white house he showed people he's black on the inside, and he must be punished like a runaway slave. Maybe they just lack good judgment, and - you know - brains.
