i listened to this and a couple tracks from his new album, and blu doesn't sound anywhere near as good as he did from 07 - 08 imo, it really seems like blu has fallen off. The beat from Madlib on this song sounds fuckin amazing, but blu sounds really average, is it just me or has blu sadly fallen off?
and no dumb hipster answers like "fuck blu, lil b is better for hip hop" from you adam

wtf is so sad about it, blu is just another typical underground rapper who luckily got on some really good beats with exile and got noticed. Nothing more. I mean just look at his subject matters they are so stale and over worked. His creativity leaves a whole lot to be desired. But got damn that song sounds horrible lol, he sounds like he had a bad day where someone shat in his cherrios.

The thing about Blu it's that he connected with the right people, at the right time. When that Blu/Exile album dropped, he got the attention of recognized underground emcees and producers, meaning, when connecting with them, he became relevant.

I agree with most of the cases that Blu got noticed cuz he worked with Exile.
Everything that he does solo isnt nowhere near as good as his work with Exile.
Im not a big fan of him anymore.

I won't say he fell off. I just believe he is trying to do 2 much at one time. He makes some really nice beats and he can still write, but I think he is trying to become a 1 show man without giving himself time to rest.

fuck Exile. yeah, it's true, Blu hasn't done shit on the mic without Exile behind the boards, but what has Exile done without Blu? Emanon is wack. anything else that deserves recognition? if there is anything, i don't know of it. the lyrics on BTH, however, are WAAAAY more interesting than the production, though i won't deny the beats were dope. point is, Exile didn't make Blu and Blu isn't a talentless dude with connections. both are mad talented, but if anything, Exile wouldn't be shit without Blu.

They're like.....Common and No.Id....Nas and DJ Premier.....Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre......Young Jeezy and DJ Drama (Their mixtapes honestly are better than MOST rappers albums)......Vinnie Paz and Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind.....Black Thought and ?uestlove....
Blu & Exile can make so much more classics together than seperate.
