Well, the rest of the album wasn't very outstanding.

they're both classic albums and both feature DJ Premier production, can't just judge it based on one song

Skimmed through them. Moment of Truth is actually a solid album. It's got a couple of great songs on it, but they are just outshined by Above the Clouds.

My vote goes to Gang Starr.

If it was Moment of Truth vs. Word... Life (OC's first album) I'd probably give it to OC (WL is like Illmatic Jr. pretty much), but since it's not, and since Jewels has like 3 good tracks (granted, those 3 tracks are outstanding) and the rest is mediocre at best, I'm going with Moment of Truth.

How can you call yourself a hip hop head and not know who OC is???? "Time's Up"? Doesn't ring a bell??? He started his career by featuring on a track by Organized Konfusion (the group with Pharaohe Monch and Prince Po from the late 80's/early 90's) and it was one of their bigger tracks.

Honestly, i've heard of all the people you just mentioned, but never really bothered to listen to them (including OC).

:o that's absurd! Now go hurry and download Word... Life by OC, just about anything by Pharaohe Monch, etc. What hip hop music do you even listen to on a regular basis??? Lol
