as we all know there is some fake Mc's out there getting milions on shity music, I'm talking about lil wayne soulja boy, guccie mane and all these suckers.
my question is like the message of this snowgoon song, What do you think about the state of the mainstream hip hop today, I gotta say that I don't like people calling Lil wayne and such hip hop. because hip hop isn't about money bitches cribs big cars and fancy things, it's about true love.

From where I see it, there is very little mainstream appeal to hip hop, so I suppose that's bad. What follows is elitism in hip hop, which makes it even less appealing. That's bad. With hip hop being exposed throughout the internet, every other 12 year old kid can talk with a sense of authority and redefine hip hop to the ignorant. That's bad too.
On the other hand, with no mainstream appeal for hip hop (that is saying that everything that has a rap verse in it isn't necessarily hip hop), it's not much of a market, so the corporate motive isn't as big as it would've been, meaning that it's more of an art this way...
I think it's just fine.

that said, i know a lot of completely unknown producers who are 10 times better than the Snowgoons. Snowgoons are the most overrated production company in underground hip hop i think.

you haven't been here for very long so i know it's hard for you to understand, but the attitudes these two and a few others on this site have been dragging this site/movement and it's purpose into the ground for the past year and a half or so. i've been ready to kick some people out of the movement for some time now because the fake shit has been pushing potential new site members away for quite some time now and that's why there has been such low activity here for a long time. we used to have 50 or so members on at once, but no one likes coming here anymore because we've become a hipster website. it's fucking pathetic.

gosh, didn't know about this as you said. hm i don't see the purpous with doing that kind of shit to scare away people as it seems. well thanks for the warning.
