just listened to Lost Tapes for the first time. not a bad album. the beats were a bit underwhelming but not horrible. definitely quite a step up from HHID, Untitled, and even a bit above Distant Relatives, so that's a plus. however, even though Revolutionary Vol. 1 isn't as good as Vol. 2, it is definitely a damn good album, and i felt it was quite a bit better than Lost Tapes

not to be a dick but, name me 4 good songs from Revolutionary Vol. 1, keep in mind this ain't the end of Immortal Techniques run either, his Revolutionary Vol. 2 is coming up later (which most I.T. fans consider better than Rev 1), but name me 4 good songs from Rev 1, coz honestly there were only 2 songs on this whole album I actually liked, and there were many songs I absolutely hated, The Lost Tapes had a couple average songs but I didn't hate them and The Lost Tapes had some really sick songs, there were two songs from Rev 1 that I thought were sick , Philosophy of Poverty and Dance With the Devil, The Lost Tapes had several and no tracks that I thought were horrible unlike Rev 1

Creation & Destruction, Dominant Species, Positive Balance, Dance With The Devil.
and i didn't think any other track on the album was wack, but most of the rest were about average. it's still more than i can say for Lost Tapes, not to say that either album was bad.

what's so surprising about that? i'm not obsessed with Nas like a lot of you are. i've heard the essentials ("Illmatic" and the hit tracks off each album), as well as a few other projects, but there is no reason that i had to hear Lost Tapes, and like i said, it's a good album, but nothing special.
