If more of Immortal Technique's tracks had the same subject matter as The Philosophy of Poverty or even Dance With the Devil it would have got my vote, but most of Technique's ablum is on some braggadocio referring to himself in the third person shit, he says "lyrically" waaaaaaaaay too much in his songs and some songs it just sounds like he's trying to use as many big words as possible just for the sake of trying to sound smart, the only song i liked this style on was No Mercy, because I liked the punchlines he used, but even then I still cringed every time he referred to himself in third person and said shit like "lyrical" and "spiritual".

I preferred the lyrics and flow on Nas's The Lost Tapes waaaaaay more, The Lost Tapes had some brilliant tracks like Doo Rags, Purple, Drunk By Myself, Black Zombies and Poppa Was A Playa, but it did have some low points on the album, but still it easily gets my vote overall. If Immortal Technique had more political tracks and tracks with meaning it would have got my vote but it didn't

Listen to Immortal Technique's "Speak Your Mind" and then listen to how Eminem starts off the "Shady 2.0 Cypher" and keep in mind Eminem is doing a parody of rappers who try to hard to be lyrical

Eminem's verse at 6:18
