Just read about his death on MSN logging in a few minutes ago! According to MSN he was found unconscious in his home, rushed to the hospital and was pronounced dead at 1p.m. today! Police reported that there was no "foul play" (I guess meaning he died of natural causes and not murder). I never really cared for Heavy D but it's sad to see an MC go out before his time! Another "Golden Age" Hip-Hop Artist going before their time Guru, Nate Dogg, Eyedea add one more to that list! Rhyme. In. Piece. Heavy D *Hats off* :(

That's typical superstition. You only notice the rule when more than 1 dies, and you will go search for the third one, and you'll quit searching before you found the fourth one. You put effort into making the rule true, and you'll ignore it when it isn't true.

this is true most of the time, sometimes they'll have died months apart, but this time is strange coz they all died within hours of each other

not hours but days. Andy Rooney died a few days ago. the thing is not that it's a rule for people to die in 3's, it just so happens that a lot of times when one famous person dies, another 2 of equal or similar fame die shortly thereafter. it happened with Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac and there was one other person that died within the same week if i recall correctly, and i think i remember two others dying the same week as MJ. there are plenty examples of this happening. for the people saying we are ridiculous for believing the people die in threes superstition, you are confusing correlation with causation. i'm not saying that some unknown power has set a precedent where if 1 dies, 2 more die. i'm simply stating that there is a strange correlation that often times proves true that celebrities often die in groupings, usually of 3.

yea its insane and creepy......n yes he did, and his last tweet was "be inspired" did you know that It was Heavy D who gave pete his start as his older cousin, they were really close....Mr. Big Stuff helped paved the way for Pete Rock..my heart goes out to the family and heavy d's children..i dont think many really understood the big influence and inpact heavy d had on hip hop..to think without heavy, we might not have pete rock and wtihout pete rock????????..just thinking lol..rip
