The first hip hop album I bought was Dr. Dre's The Chronic. I used to hate hip hop before that, but it was Dr. Dre's production that really got me in love with hip hop. From there I started getting into NWA, The D.O.C. and then Rakim and then got into more and more artists. I remember I bought KRS-One's Return of the Boom Bap not long after I got the NWA albums too, I used to think KRS-One was so lyrical coz he said "A fad doesn't fill the bill, but mad skills will
Don't let me have to kill you kid, god forbid still, Greed will lead your need to succeed, but your speed, your speech, Your outreach is a breach of what I teach, For lyrical styles you're a leech, If I was Spanish I'd say, ["You lie like a beech"]"

The first hip hop album I was exposed to was D-Nice- Call Me D-Nice. The first album I purchased with my own money was Wu Tang Clan Forever.
