For Sodr. I found this video to summarize a lot of points that are worth considering. Plus I would just like to see your response.
i LOVE the ACA and Atheist Experience! Matt Dillahunty is THE MAN! i watch episodes of that show like every day haha!

The attitude of these people hints to me that theyre predisposed to disbelieve in anything that has to do with religion...2:51 – 3:07 what is that??
the host of the show is an ex-Christian who was studying to be an ordained minister and while studying to strengthen his beliefs in order to be able to justify them when questioned the opposite actually happened and he gradually realized that he no longer believed in god. no hostility, he just realized that he no longer believed. he is very much unbiased. he knows both sides of the coin and knows the bible better than most christians because he studied it for years from a christian context.

The guy in the video is saying “i feel i have a soul, therefore it exists”...well i don’t really see how that’s flawed
it's circular reasoning
Quote (sodr2)
if a soul is just your consciousness and personality, then i would say it exists, the real question is if it exists after death
ok, at least you have defined your idea of the soul. i do not agree with your liberal interpretation of it (soul almost always has a supernatural connotation) but we'll go with this definition. even by this definition we cannot say it exists, at least not definitively separate from the brain and other bodily make-up. check out this wiki page on the philosophy of the mind, this one on the dual-aspect theory, and this one on monism.

Then they talk about if it does exist (including after death), then god (likely) to exist....well i would say thats obv evidence of the supernatural
you need to make a lot of presumptions to conclude that.
Quote (sodr2)
don’t you see life, creation, etc at least hinting towards a god(s)
no. care to explain how?
Quote (sodr2)
the things he mentioned that gives value to one's life will not benefit them when they're dead
that is the whole point. the idea is to cherish them while you can so that when you do pass away you leave no rock unturned.

Appeal does not equal truth.
we've been telling theists this for YEARS.
