for those of you that have heard about this, what are your opinions? did hackers really reveal the fraudulence of global warming science or did a couple of right wing hackers cherry pick some email information from some less-than-ethical scientists? or maybe your opinion is none of the above (though i think evidence only allows for those two options)...? i personally fall into the camp of option 2. and for some kicks (and maybe so you can sort of understand, from a biased perspective espoused by an imbecile, what the situation is), here is Glenn Beck's take on this issue:

Climategate its just an internet buzz thats why people didn't take it into consideration there are millions of such things on the internet Glenn Beck just supports because it fits whit his own agenda . And god damn these people are arrogant and ignorant and idiotic why we shouldn't be more environmental friendly ? why ?? oh wait i forgot right wingers don't give a shit about the environment if they have their property and money is all good doesn't matter that the air is thick and toxic like and we're eating fruit that tastes like shit

how do you know they were cherry picking, have the entire emails come out? but yeah the fact that only fox were reporting this is pretty dodgy, because a lot of big companies pay scientists to defend them and say there's no such thing as global warming, so its no surprise fox are the only ones reporting this. glenn beck is such a douche bag.

He didn't really cite anything particularly revealing, just ranted about a general claim. The presentation was far to weak for it to be as true or as bad as they make it seem. If it was really that outrages, I'm pretty sure my jaw would be dropping. But there was no presentation of that sort, just general assertion and claims. For instance,
What scientists? How significant are they? What are their credentials?
What was the specific key statements in the emails?
Who is this hacker? Is he now in jail?
We all know that each of our end is near; the question is do we accept the end of our living existence, or do we accept our existence as dead men...

Unfortunately for those of us who believe in global warming, the particular school that contained this information is the school where the main study that lead to the 2007 report of a scientific consensus on man made global warming took place. The 2007 IPCC report was based mainly on information from this school. Unfortunately, however, for the hackers, none of the important info from any specific study that was of importance was shown to be falsified or inflated in these emails. These emails, in fact, were rather dull in content. You can actually read all of the emails that they released online. Just look them up on google.

That doesn't make sense. If a farmer can harvest more fruit and veggies without pesticides then why do they use them?

here is one skeptic, according to this guy the earth was warming since around 1850, but they peaked around 1998 and we've had no further warming since then, of course this is his opinion though, heres the video http://tvnz.co.nz/breakfa....o.xhtml

And that's the thing I don't get. Isn't there evidence that man only contributes to a slight percentage of global warming, and a large percentage of it is caused by animal flatulance? lol That what I've read. The earth has gone thru numerous changes and I don't think this global warming thing is any different.

I've also watched a video where scientists showed that Earth goes thru a cycle where there is global cooling and then global warming. Oh yeah! and wasn't there a huge scare in the 70's that the world was gonna drastically get colder?
