i was having an argument on how things in the bible are immoral and therefore moral absolutes cannot be used as proof of the biblical gods existence because gods laws are immoral and also relative because even christians don't follow a lot of the so called absolute laws of god but while i was thinking about that i was wondering, did they have prisons in the biblical times? i haven't seen any laws at all mentioning a jail, all i see is laws for death or whipping etc, then i was thinking which would be more effective, were the whippings and death laws in those times more effective in stopping further crimes or are jails of today more effective. and while we're on that who the hell invented jails anyway???
