in my opinion evolution is proof to the existence of time tough i believe that the human mind gave a meaning to the universe gave a meaning to life whit out humanity asking questions it will be just an empty void

lol! seriously though, time just exists because matter exist. this of course presupposes solipsism/idealism are false, but many scientists/philosophers are now toying with the idea that time didn't exist until after the big bang because that is also what created matter and without matter there is no time.

it depends on the context your using it, time as in days or hours or minutes is a man made form of measurement. time as in "remember that time we blah blah blah" is just another word for a moment so yes i think time is a man made invention of measuring certain things. so i agree with the definition 8diagrams quoted from wikipedia, i think that really says it all
