Quote (Joker13) they sound completely different i don't know what the fuck your talking about and i wasn't saying he was better cause more people know him but to me he is and in terms of impact tito had a BIG one <_< dude, how many times do i have to say that most Latin Jazz sounds like a failed attempt at salsa or merengue but NOT TITO PUENTE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tito is the GOD of Latin Jazz. i put him up there with the legends i mentioned, just not right up there, like one notch below.

Quote (LoveThatHipHop) Most people consider his works as Hip Hop, but it sounds like Jazz. i knew the name sounded familiar. he's on Stones Throw, no? and no, you wouldn't put him anywhere near Coltrane, Davis, Puente (you happy Joker? ), etc., but he's still dope.

Quote (Joker13) but it doesn'T SOUND LIKE A FAILED ATTEPMT AT SALSA NONE OF THEM DO IF THEY WANTED TO DO SALSA THEY WOULD DO SALSA RAWRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 i'm talking about bad Latin Jazz. some artists just don't know what the fuck they are doing. there are a few, but the majority just don't fucking get it. it's like in hip hop. you have a shitload of poser asshats like Lil/Young/Yung Faggot (just a blanket term for all the fags with the Lil/Young/Yung prefixes), but then you have the few here and there that get mainstream exposure that are dope. maybe not to the same degree, but it's the same in Latin Jazz. you have a bunch of tards that are trying to make music that sounds EXACTLY like every other lame piece in the genre and they don't know how to expand the genre at all, then you have the few, like Puente. believe me, i've heard some BAAAD Latin Jazz. i live in a predominantly Latino community for Christ's sake!
