this one takes me back to when i was 7 or 8 with my cousin always getting into trouble, some of the best years of my life, i remember also that was the year Holyfield got the major upset against Tyson.
this was the first album i had heard that had so much swearing on it, at the time i couldn't believe people used to swear that much on albums, gangsta rap became a big fad at my school at this time and all the little kids were forming their own gangs in elementary school. My aunty used to play this all the time, she ran away from home when i was a kid and i used to play this song and think about her, she was about 18 at the time, she came back though.
Romanian old hip hop that old Romanian hip hop that exploded after the revolution the youth was young and angry everything changed so quick everyone of us were confused i remember one day in 1998 i was just 7 years old and i was going to school my first grade and on my way to school i used to go to a kiosk where they sold Romanian and foreign hip hop tapes when i arrived there the police and other authorities where literally destroying the whole kiosk later when i was around 14 i discovered that in the 90's Romanian authorities were targeting hip hop music and artists and they were closing them down everywhere
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain
haha all those songs was when i never listened to hip hop and only listened to rock music
here's another song that i used to love when i was a little kid, of course since i was a kid the only songs i usually heard were those on the radio, i had no idea about Nirvana etc
All eurodance triggers nostalgia and a little bit of disgust for me. Dr. Bombay and Eiffel 65. lol.
